YMCA Learning Center

New Student Registration for Spring Semester begins Tuesday, December 15th!

The school day is changing, and we’re adapting. We have been working hard with our local schools to create programs that support the varying needs of families in our community.

The YMCA Learning Center is a new YMCA program for students grades K-5 that helps students by providing a safe, nurturing place for learning, growing and thriving. Our program is designed to provide daily support for remote learning from teachers and/or education specialists, as well as a variety of enrichment activities including swimming, physical education, art, and STEM.

The goal of the YMCA Learning Center is to support families so they are able to focus on enjoying their time together without the added pressures of schooling.

 

The YMCA Learning Center offers:

• Low student to staff ratio
• Academic support, social enrichment and physical fitness activities
• Degreed teachers or education specialists to assist students with daily academics
• Amenities such as classrooms, gymnasiums and pool
• Increased safety measures including small and consistent groups as well as increased cleaning and disinfection

 

2020-2021 Important Information:

• Students must be registered for a minimum of two days per week.
• Masks are required for all staff and students.
• All students attending the Learning Center MUST comply with the NYS DOH COVID-19 Toolkit guidelines regarding returning to school
