Our Pool


Our pool is the cornerstone of the Y. It is open 7 days a week for a multitude of lessons and classes. You can also feel free to come in on your own time and enjoy lap swimming or come in with the kids for open swim. Come on in and JUMP IN!

NEW AQUA CLASSES

Gentle Movements at the VA
For those who need warmer water (90-95 degrees) we have teamed up with the VA for this class. The focus is on improving muscle tone and enhancing flexibility and range of motion. The pool is located at the VA, building #3.
M & W 12 – 1 pm
Fees: Members: $25 for one day a week or $50 for both days
Non-Members: $50 for one day a week or $100 for both days

Aqua Beats & Cardio (Level 4-5)
It’s a party in the pool on Wednesday nights. Thrill down to your core with a blast of beats and rhythms that burn calories, pump cardio, increase flexibility and strengthen your soul. Musical combinations have been blended together transforming basic moves into an exciting and engaging fitness experience. Shallow and deep water transitions used. Get your groove thing going!

Canandaigua Aquatics – Competitive Swim Team

Canandaigua Aquatics having an impressive 2011-2012 season. Congratulations swimmers.

Canandaigua Aquatics is our year round competitive swim team for kids ages 5 to 18. Kids develop confidence and strength by participating on the team. This year there are 113 swimmers. The team truly is one big family; it isn’t all about being first in the water it is about building the relationships with one another. Kids come in self conscious and leave with confidence.

The Pool Personal Fitness
AQUATONE
Stretch and strengthen your whole body with no impact on joints. Increase endurance, balance, mobility, cardio, and improve posture with this shallow water class! Waters hoes recommended.
M/W/F 11:00 am – Noon $30/$60

AQUATONE B
Aquatone A with a greater focus on cadio and some deep water exercise to stretch, and be energized! Water shoes recommended.
T/TH 9:00-10:00 am $15/$30

RISE-N-CISE
Start your day off energized with a total body workout in shallow and deep water. Water shoes are highly recommended. Moderate to high level of exercise.
M/W/F 8:00 – 9:00 am $30/$60

KICKED UP! – WET CARDIO
Knocking it out in the water? Yes! A challenging upbeat water workout that combines kickboxing choreography with high energy rebounding drills. Put your suit on and your dukes up for a fun and commanding water workout. Expect to sweat!!!
M/W 6:30 – 7:15 pm $25/$50
S 8:00 – 8:45 am

AQUACIZE
Total body workout in deep and shallow water. Includes core and strength training with full cardio workout. The last half hour focuses on core and strength. Moderate to a high level of exercise. Water shoes recommended.
Tu/Th 10:30 AM – 12:00 pm $30/$60

AQUA SCUTTLE
Instructed deep water exercise for the fitness enthusiast who’s looking for a total body workout with high-resistance and zero-impact. Great for cross training as well! Includes cardiovascular and strength plus a core muscle workout. Moderate to high level of exercise.
M/W/F 10:30 AM – 11:30 am $30/$60

H2YOGA
Come relax and work your core muscle groups. Unwind while doing yoga in the pool. Great cool down after Kicked up!
M/W 7:15-8:00 pm $15/$30

COACHED MASTERS SWIMMING
Prepare for a triathlon, competitive swimming or to swim for fitness. All adults with basic swimming ability welcome, regardless of level. Swimming is a highly efficient cardio workout with no equipment necessary. Program runs from September 13th to December!
M/TH 8:30-9:30 pm @ the Academy Pool $40/$80

Senior Splash
Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety! Senior Splash offers LOTS of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability required. This class may require preregistration as space is limited.
