SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE
Serving children before and after traditional school day!
Our School Age Children programs serve children in grades K through 6 and are registered with the New York State
Office of Children and Family Services and are a provider for DSS funding for child care. Programs maintain a 1:10
staff to child ratio, and all staff are carefully screened and trained.
We offer many locations at schools in the surrounding Canandaigua area. The programs meet the needs of children at
varying stages of development by creating an environment that fosters independence, cooperation and self-control.
The children are able to build confidence, trust and develop positive values by making friends and taking part in group
projects and activities where fair play, teamwork and responsibility are emphasized.
The daily schedule is structured to allow a wide range of activity choices, balancing active and quiet times, and providing
opportunities for children to pursue particular interests and develop individual abilities. Children are encouraged to
participate in the daily operation of the program, especially in formulating behavioral expectations and choosing program
themes and activities.

SNOW DAY FUN CLUBS - No school due to inclement weather...FULL DAY FUN CLUBS are offered at the YMCA! 7 AM - 6 PM. Save time and fill out the registration form today!!
Payment due on the day of program. $30/$35

VACATION FUN CLUBS (Grades K-5)
Fun club is a full day of safe, supervised activities that promote friendship through games, arts & crafts, and other special events. Please remember to pack a lunch, swimsuit & towel. A separate registration form is required and is available at least 2 weeks in advance of program. All programs meet in the YMCA Child Care Center (ground floor), past the lobby.
