Here is what is NEW in 2012

Cycle Boot Camp
Take two of our most popular classes, cycling and boot camp, put them together to get Cycle Boot Camp.

This total body workout will get your heart rate going as it incorporates cardio and strength intervals both on and off the bike. Lori will be teaching it on Wednesday mornings, 5:45 – 6:30 am. Registration is required; same cost as regular cycling – $7 for the series.

Extreme Body Workout:
The dynamic of training in a small group can make all the difference with exercise adherence and results. Sessions will incorporate kettle bells, ropes, weights and more!
Tuesday/Thursday: 4:30-5:30 pm
COST: $60 members/$75 non-members

LUNCH TIME CLASS! Cardio Pump: Raise your heart rate while burning those pre-lunch time calories. In this class you will use weights, body bars and participate in ab session. Join in and have fun during this lunchtime class – Mon/Fri.: 12-12:45 pm. FREE

Introduction to Cycling – Simply Cycle
Basic introduction for adults of all ages who have always wanted to try cycling, but might not feel comfortable. This 45-minute class will allow you to gain the confidence and skills to become an indoor cyclist.
Time: Saturday, 10 am
Cost: $1 per time or $7 for the session

Cycle Reebok – Get on the bike again!
Spinning is one of the most popular work outs here at the Y. If you have never done it before try it out! Don’t let winter get you down, keep your strength and skill on top with this class. Cycle Reebok is one exercise class that you have the ability to make your own. You can push yourself up a hill or you can simply ride an easy straight. It is a great work out for your body and mind.

Our cycle room is equipped with 12 bikes. There are a variety of class times throughout the day to make it fit in your schedule.
Registration is a MUST. It is $1 per time or $7 for the series. Sign up on January 2 and bring your ride inside this winter.

TRX Suspension Training, is now at the Y. This exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. The actual TRX suspension trainer, is a training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to build muscle, flexibility and so much more. It is a tool that can be used for personal training and group training. We 5 TRX suspension training systems in Studio 1, so registration is required to reserve your spot. $10 per session.

“Rev It Up”


Boot Camp High intensity class, utilizing plyometric exercises, intervals and core strength training.
Cycle Reebok:(COST PER CLASS) Stationary bike ride with a variety of different training techniques-spin your way thin.
Kickboxing: High intensity interval workout using defined movements with kicks and punches to focus on core strength and support.
Step & Sculpt: Work out to pop rock music, with basic step aerobics and transition to isolation exercises to tone & sculpt. Floor work, ab exercises and stretching round out the session.

“Move More”
Advanced Step Blast: Step aerobics with challenging choreography. Blast portion sculpts upper body & abdominals.
Spencer Pilates: Use props such as balls and bands to strengthen core muscles along with classic mat routines-each class is unique and different so feel free to stop in anytime!
Sunrise Surprise: Wake up your muscles with this early morning strength training class. Warm-up, and then work on upper and lower body strength using a variety of equipment. End with an ab workout and stretching.
Cardio Walk: Instructor guided walking program on our track, to provide motivation and accountability.
Total Body Fit: Strengthen core muscles and increase flexibility as you work with Resist-a-Balls, resistance bands and weights. Challenge the total body with this complete workout.
Ocean Motion: Sculpting class set to rhythmic sounds of ocean waves. Combination of floor exercises and standing lunges and squats to tone and redefine abs, legs and gluts. Ends with 5 minutes of meditation. Good for spirit, mind and body.
Zumba®
An absolute blast of calorie burning, body energizing, awe-inspiring movements to hypnotic Latin rhythms. Includes interval fast/slow rhythms and resistance training to tone and sculpt while burning fat. Join the Party!

“Breathe, Stretch, Strengthen”
Gentle Yoga: (LEVEL 1) Strengthen and stretch the whole body and increase the feeling of well being with deep breathing held in standing and seated poses.
Intermediate Yoga: (LEVEL 2) Raise the heart rate with flowing standing postures as well as deeper standing postures to build stamina and strength in arms, legs and core.
Yogalates: Combine yoga and pilates to increase flexibility and strengthen core.
Yogastretch (Silver Sneakers®) - Simple and safe exercise at your pace, using a CHAIR for support for both seated and standing exercises. Breathing techniques help increase lung capacity and relaxation. Increase flexibility, endurance, strengthen legs and increase your ability to think more clearly. Stretch and strengthen from head to toe.
Kripalu Yoga – Explore your edge today – Get to know your body like never before thru this inquiry based Yoga class-Learn new Pranayama techniques, and Ride the Wave of Sensation-class includes Meditation.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga - A basic level yoga with an emphasis on abs and back strengthening.
Tai Chi/Qi Gong: Ancient exercise called “mediation in motion.” Slow moving exercises that will increase flexibility, mobility and balance to promote overall health and well-being. Qi-gong is a Chinese healing art to decrease stress and improve health vitality to energize the body.

“Muscle Builder”
Body Shop Abs: Fast paced, 30 minute strength training class, using light weights with minimal rest between sets to produce a calorie burning/cardio effect. Then, 15 minutes to focus on abs.
Build-A-Body: Complement your cardio workouts with this class focusing on strength training. Tone, maintain or build muscles, with safe lifting techniques.
Lower Body Blast: Start with a cardio warm-up of step aerobics, and finish with exercises to tone lower body and abs.
Ultimate Abs: Focus on developing “ultimate” core muscle strength by targeting ab/back muscles. Concludes with a flexibility stretch cool down.

SILVER SNEAKERS® CLASSES

Cardio—Fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscle endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Hand weights, elastic tubing and work with a ball are alternated with low impact aerobics. A chair is offered for support.
MSROM – Muscular Strength & Range of Movement—A variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength of movement and skills required during activities of daily living. Hand weights, elastic tubing and work with a ball are alternated with low impact aerobics. A chair is offered for seated and/or standing support.
Silver Spin – An indoor cycling class geared towards Active Older Adults.
